Korea: Day 9

Hi everyone – I hope you all had a wonderful and a delicious Thanksgiving! Any good Black Friday deals that I missed out on? Sorry for the delayed updates. We actually got back into the states earlier this week but I’ve been jet lagged and have been lazy with my blog. But here are more pictures!

Technically, this was taken on Wednesday, 11/18/15, in Seoul, South Korea.

Welcome to Deoksugung Palace (덕수궁). The name means “Palace of virtue and longevity.” Click here if you want to read about the history of the palace.

Deoksugung Palace – One of the Five Grand Palaces built by the kings during Joseon Dynasty.

Inside the palace; surrounded by Seoul’s skyscrapers.

Delicious lunch; “Budae jjigae” (부대찌개) literally means “army stew.” It’s a type of Korean soup with a Western twist aka spam, sausages, or bacon fused into a Korean traditional spicy soup flavored with kimchi and gochujang (red chili paste).

Seoul Lantern Festival! Started in 2009.

Found a little bit of America here in Korea! So neat.

Ended the busy day with some Korean BBQ.
