Ginger, Dates & Honey

Sorry for the lack of posts. Life has been quite busy but that’s no excuse! I’ve been feeling under the weather this past few weeks…so here’s a really delicious ginger, dates, and honey tea recipe to help fight off your cold-like symptoms!

I don’t know about you, but I love ginger! It’s full of amazing health benefits. Did you know that it contains chromium, magnesium, and zinc which all helps with your blood flow?! It’s also known to soothe motion sickness and nausea. It helps with digestion, reduces pain and inflammation, aides with respiratory issues by expanding your lungs and loosening phlegm, ginger powder fights off ovarian cancer cells, improve immune system, and so much more! Just google “ginger health benefits” and you’ll see!

You can skip the Korean dates but it adds a nice, sweet flavor (dried jujube – 대추). Also, read here for a brief history about Korean dates – it has a cultural meaning but also loaded with about 20 times more vitamin C than any other citrus fruits!

  1. Korean dates
  2. Ginger
  3. Honey

  1. Rinse ginger and dates under cold running water. Use a knife or vegetable peeler to scrape off the ginger skin.
  2. Slice the ginger into long, thin pieces. I also sliced holes in the dates to get more flavor in my tea!
  3. Boil some water and add your dates and sliced ginger!
  4. I added 2 tsp of honey – add more for your taste!

I hope you guys like it! 🙂
Enjoy! -j
